AFAIK there's no parameter for that.
Good call. That would be nice, especially if you've got a lot of RAM. But there's another thing too. Quite often I'll click the text input on a parameter and then start typing. For some reason the focus leaves the text input box and I end up moving the camera out of position in the view. This actually don't have an undo, even though it generates a key on the timeline.
I'm just saying. If a dev is going to poke around in that area, there are some other things that need doing.
Shift K should disable the keyboard navigation, it's also Edit>View>Keyboard Navigation
The focus shifting out of text boxes when anoth UI elemnt highlights is, I belive, a limitation of Qt 3 - as you will see from the change log the Qt 3 dependencies are being eliminated so we may hope that that issue will go away in due course (I'm not sure if it will be free or require additional coding beyond droping Qt 3).
In DAZ, hovering over UI areas activate by default those areas. For example, your mouse makes a yellow quad appear around a slider box when hovering it. Which means the mouse position is taken into account.
To type anything : first be sure that your mouse cursor is and remains inside the input box. Then type, and it won't happen again.

+1 for this so ! limited undos. It's been like that forever, and with our nowadays computers, a much bigger undo stack would be greatly appreciated. We could have for example an undo stack per object, a bit like layers of subtools in ZBrush which all keep their own undos, having no impact at all on the rest of the objects.
I sadly never found any script to change the amount of undos in the stack.
I've been wanting that too for a long time.
