If anyone owns Erik HD for G8M, can you guesstimate how tall he is compared to the base G8M? The product details include "Erik is tall, very tall. Though he's tall enough to go professional, he spends his downtime with friends on the street courts of his birth town, New York."

But there is no promo comparison with other G8M characters. Diego 8 is 5'10". Edward 8 is 6'.  Ashan 8 is 6'2". Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is 7'2".

So how tall is he? laugh

Colorado State University used to have a guy on their basketball team, Al "Bubba" Baker, who wound up becoming an All-Pro (all-star type thing) in the National Football League. His role as a basketball player was basically to be The Enforcer (which is a role that didn't and still doesn't really exist in basketball.) He'd come charging down the court to make a shot (theoretically) and inevitably foul someone very hard in the process. Or he'd block a shot and inevitably foul someone very hard in the process. Or he'd make a pass, and foul someone very hard in the process. Or ... well. You get the idea. After a little bit of that, when opposing players saw him coming down the court, they'd get out of the way -- his fouls were very very painful, so I understand -- and better shooters would have a clear lane to try their shot. He usually fouled out in the first half, or very early in the second, which is quite the feat.

So ... it's workable, as long as Brute wouldn't be expected to, like, score or do anything useful besides bring the Pain.

There's a movie called the Goon about the same sort of role in hockey that is surprisingly good.

@vwrangler, I am not a 'fan' of sports, but for basketball, my basic image of a player is of very tall (with the occasional small person), slender, strong, agile, men and women who move in ways a cat would be jealous of and jump and throw that make me think there is magic involved.

I guess I believe high school and college sports should be non-money (foolish of me, I know) and more to the ancient Olympian ideal of pushing your body to excel and in the case of teams, for teamwork.

I mean no offense to anyone who were not my image construct and played and achieved great things in their chosen sports. I salute you.

    Silly Me.
