Toothless

I have  been using the 3Delight render and that works fine for me.  However, lately I notice a unique issue pops up with certain figures.

The LY girls after I render the teeth do not apper in smiles. I ust get a black hole. when the figure loads and the smile is there the teeth appear but after it renders...BLACK HOLE. It seems to affect only certian ones, like the LY CHRISTABLE, LY WILDER and LY KARSYN. I have ohter LY that render and the toothy smiles looks fine. Just these three I mentioned earlier.

Anyone have any sage advice or words of wisdom how to fix this little glitch?  Unfortunately going to Iray is not an opiton. that stopped working on my computer a couple of years ago and thats why I use 3Delight now. Back to the toothless smile, any advice?

Christabel shows 3Delight materials on her product page, so that shouldn't happen.

The PA for all of those, @Lyoness, is active on the forums. Maybe send her a PM asking for assistance?

  • What is your Max Ray Trace Bounce in Render Settings?

  • Max Ray Trace Depth (not Bounce, sorry) is a setting in Render Settings' Editor tab when 3delight is the active render engine - if it is too low then you may get weird results with reflective or refractive surfaces.

I will post here what I said to @sliders49. I don't know what is causing the toothless issue. Something niggles in the back of my mind that this is a reoccuring problem with 3dl. I will go though and fix that up for future girls.

What you can do is adjust the shaders yourself. go to the shader tab, find all the mouth surfaces (teeth, tongue, etc), ctrl-select them all.  Then go to another preset that has working teeth shaders..... and CTRL-CLICK on it.  it will give you a popup box where you tell it to apply only to the selected surfaces and NOT to replace the images.  That should (*should*) fix you up.

    I hope this is helpful.

I heard back from @Sliders49 that this solution wouldn't work for him.  So after some tinkering, I've figured out the problem and the solution.
The black toothlessness was due to not loading the 3delight shader converter to the character.  So, I've made a little tutorial on how to properly set up an LY girl for 3delight!!
I'm going to use LY Wilder (for G8F) as my demo girl.

Hi thanks for getting back with me but unfortunately I cannot find the shader ta
