Parameters shown in italics and not accessable

Hi. What does it mean when suddenly everything in the parameter list is shown in italics and are non-selectable? I used to be able to select an eye, for example, and choose "constraints" where I can tell the eye where to point.  Now "constraint" is in italics and when I click on it, nothing happens....  What did I do?

Do you have Preferences>Show Hidden Properties enabled in the Parameters pane option menu? Have you locked the figure/nodes?
