Saving edited hair properties

Hi,
I have just spent a lot of time editing Regina hair through the 'surfaces' controls.
I'm pretty happy with the result and I could want to use that colour on future projects. Since there are some twelve parts to edit with many settings in each, I would like to save those changes rather than having to go through the whole process again the next time.
Is there a way to do that ?

Yes :-) Same concept as for all models: One can save the Mat preset via the File > Save As dialog ... or:
Using the Content Library, right-click on the Mats folder [or whichever folder you want] to add a subfolder for your new mats [I do this to be sure not to overwrite purchased products]. Then in the loading icon space there is a "+" sign. Click on that and select "Material Preset." Click accept if wanting "all" of the materials saved as is. If only wanting to change one part, then unselect everything except the section(s) to be saved.
I just saved it as 'Material Preset', though I'm not sure it saved everything. When 'Regina Hair' is loaded, there are two items added to the scene; 1- 'Regina Scalp_HIDE' with subs 'Neck Lower' (and children) and 'Regina Hair' (and children), 2 - 'Regina Scalp' (and children). When selecting the air with the 'Surface selection tool', only the 'Regina Hair' is selected, and the save as only saved that (obviously).
Now I can't find it anywhere in the 'content library', so I can't test it to know if it works.
I had a few other disappearing 'saves' since I installed Daz to my new computer. I'll have to investigate to know what's happening there.
I was probably doing my 'Save as...' test when you posted your answer and didn't see it before I made my second post.
Just the same... Thanks a bundle! Your method will enable me to keep track of my edited materials more easily.
By the way, I found my saved materials, for some reason they were on a different disc. For now I just copied them where the rest of the 'Content Library' is. I'll set up the folder preferences as soon as I find the time (but I want to make sure I have everything at the same place before).
Before I save my edited hair I have to render the scene, and I have to do that because I can't see the air in the viewport in Iray mode.
I can always stop the render when I see that the modifications are not going the way I expected, but if the hair were visible in the viewport, it would probably be (somewhat) easyer and quicker.
Is there a controle somwhere to enable the hair to be viewed in Irai mode in the viewport?
Parameters -> General -> Line Tesselation, increase Viewport Line Tesselation to 2 or more. Make sure the hair itself is selected, not the haircap.
Thanks, even at 15 the hair are still quite transparent and the viewport is getting slow, but it is enough to show if I'm on the right track and faster than rendering.
