World War 2 Models

Hello!

I was curious if anyone happened to know of any place that might have decent WW2-themed models (either free or reasonably priced). I am having a doozy of a time hunting down some things!

Some items are pretty easy to find - US outfits and German outfits are both easy, as are their rifles. I can't find a good Thompson SMG model that is clip-fed instead of drum-fed, though. I am also looking for British uniforms, Russian uniforms, and other nation's uniforms if possible (can't really find much of these anywhere).

Similarly, I would love some 1940's Europe style buildings, vehicles, decor, etc. It's been difficult finding anything of the sort.

 

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly!

Check out DarkEdgeDesign in the Daz store, they offer several excellent WWII aircraft, both axis and allied. Not free, but certainly inexpensive compared to some other 3D websites. I've bought all of them and the two B-17s you can find here also.

I assume you've seen Polish's Tiger and Sherman tanks, and DarkEdgeDesign's Corsair and BF 109, amonst others.

The only uniforms I know of are U.S. and German as well. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread to see if someone has found some, cause I'd love to have them as well!

@Polish would be my pick, if someone were to make a set of WWII weapons - kinda surprised there's not a WWII weapons pack, other than this one, which again has the drum-fed Thompson.

If you go over to Renderosity, check out Cybertenko's store for Russian weapons and clothing (although only for V4 and M4) and tannenbaum makes Soviet uniforms in addition to American and German (also only for M4 and V4). DreamlandModels and 3DClassics have vehicles from the late '30s there as well.

Well it's better to fictionalize your game according to what you have available if you can't model it or buy it. The 1st 3D Wolfenstein was a huge success but only had cut stone castle walls and a few banners and paintings as the set.
