dForce and Memorized Pose Issue

I'm having trouble with dForce sims. I'm using Start Bones From Memorized Pose, but the memorized pose it starts from is nothing like the pose I set at frame 0 using Edit>Figure>Memorize>Memorize Figure Pose. Is there another, dForce-specific pose memorization menu item I'm missing? How do I best clear this other pose and replace it?

Thanks in advance for the help.

  • That should work, as long as none of the posing controls used were mis-typed (not set as Modifier/Pose in Parameter Settings, from the gear icon on the slider).

I've never modified the Parameter Settings for posing controls, but I'll check through the Currently Used controls and see if there's anything like that. Thanks.

2:55pm, all of the currently used posing controls have the proper type selected.

  • Does the pose save correctfly as a Pose Preset? Does it work if you use Edit>Figure>Bake to Transforms?

I'll have to test that and get back to you soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  • It saves correctly as a Pose Preset, but when loaded it still snaps upward in Y at the start of simulation and the expression is lost. When I used Bake to Transforms, the memorized pose no longer pops off the ground when starting the sim, but it still loses the expression.

  • OK, if the expressions are correctly set as Modifier/Pose then I don't know what to suggest.

Thanks for the suggestions. Reluctantly, I'll need to salvage an earlier version of the character that doesn't have this memorized pose issue. Hopefully, I won't have to go far back.
