Putting outfits and hair into the library

I just downloaded DAZ 3D and I've been trying to put in custom hairs or outfits but it's not working. The stuff: https://www.sharecg.com/v/95647/ https://www.pretty3d.com/free-stuff.php?p=cheongsam-lingerie-for-genesis-8-females https://www.sharecg.com/v/95100/

I unarchived them and placed them into the My Daz 3D Library folder (the same one that the Browse to File Location takes me to). They do not show up in the Content in the studio no matter what I do, ehther I refresh or close and reopen. I have been trying to do this for the past three hours. Please help.

Do you mean in Smart Content or Content Library tab? There's a good chance they don't include metadata for Smart Content.

The two from ShareCG have unnecessary top level folders so you can't just extract to your library.  Dig down til you come to a "data" and/or "Runtime" folder(s) and extract from that point.

Actually, keep the hair - that does work once you've moved the data to data folder, etc. BUT that pencil dress will not load as the content creator did not set up the files correctly. To fix it requires unzipping the encoded files [7zip] and then fixing all the pathways etc. to make it work. It is not a quick fix [i.e. by simply making an additional folder to tuck the geometry into] as apparently several locations were used in the making of the dress. Might want to look for another dress.
