Poser clothroom item

I used PP14's clothroom to fit a dress to Aiko 6 and went through the normal process of exporting and reimporting it, fitting it the figure and saving it as a parented prop( hip).

When I tried the cloth in DS 4.6 it didn't parent properly, instead it sat too high on the figure and despite manually adjusting it. it still would'nt fit properly.

Has anyone any ideas why this is so and advise me?

John.

Check it isn't inheriting scaling from A6.

What do you mean Richard? As I think scaling could be the problem.

In DS an item will be scaled if its parent is scaled - so if the A6 morph is applying scaling, which it may well be, that will be transferred to the draped clothing. In Poser it wouldn't be, hence the potential for mis-match. You should see the scaling in the parameters for the prop, and be able to reset it.

As a tip, if you're exporting from Daz Studio remember to set the figure scale to 100%. That way when you re-import the object you can use it as a morph target instead. That way you keep the lovely drape, but retain the weight maps and skeleton. Unless I'm draping over a chair, or the floor, this is the method I use for all of my stuff.

    Thanks both,

It is a scaling problem as I found that the figure's hip has been rescaled to 96% for some reason.... It is Aiko 6 with a wee bit of Aiko4 to give it more of an anime look. However due to Aiko 6's set up with no scaling adjustment for the hip I can't fix it so I'll have to scrub the idea.

    Thanks for the help though.

    John.
