Fitting a Genesis 8 figure to another Genesis 8 figure issue

It works just as you would expect with one exception. The Pose Controls in the propreties tab apply twice: once for the source figure (which is what you would want), and again for the fitted figure which leads to some major issues. Moving the parameters around in the fitted figure changes nothing.
Why is this happening?

why are you fitting one figure to another?
Because I want to.
It is expected that "clothing" is "fit to" a figure. As it clings to said figure it is normal for several Parameter dials to do "nothing" as it will move with the figure.
eta: Be very careful how you save said "fitted figure" - IMHO it's not a good idea as one could/would likely mess up the original files.
maybe to make four armed 4 legged 8 limbed monstrosities
Parenting would work better then than trying to fit to.
I have fitted figures to other figures before and everything worked fine. The issue is with the Genesis 8 figures and with certain parameters. Normally the source figure drives the fitted figure, with the fitted figure's armature just doing whatever the source figure does.
However with expressions for instance, if I move a parameter for let's say "Angry" it applies to the source figure (good) and then it applies to the fitted figure as well (bad). In other words the parameters applies 1x for the source, and 2x for the fitted figure. The end result is what you would get if you were to pose a fitted figure alone.
This does not happen for custom parameters whether JCM or JCJ. The issue has to be with the parameters themselves.
I attached screenshots. In the last one you can see the armature of the fitted figure having the Angry pose applied to it 2x which leads to that messy look where bones point at the source figure bones.
Use a Geo Shell instead.
If you limit and lock the range of "Angry"-dial to zero, both in the body and the corresponding Alias-dial (with the same name) in the head of the fitted figure, what does it do?
Good idea but it doesn't work. It should have worked and it does with any other custom parameters. There's something with the parameters in the Gen8 "Pose Controls" propreties group that make them act differently from what you would expect.
The fitted figure should have all parameters at zero. However if I unfit the fitted figure the the "Pose Controls" parameters have been modified.
When you fit clothing on a figure, the activated morphs of the figure are automatically added to the fitted clothing as well, only hidden so that you can't see them...
I think the problem comes from having those morphs already on the "clothing", which creates a situation that there are two sets of the same morphs which will both be activated and therefore the effect is also doubled.
That's probably it.
The fitting algorithm probably applies the parameters once to the fitted figure as you say plus the source figure, then the fitted figure's parameters also change to mimic the source figure. The end effect is having these parameters look like they were applied twice. Tested it out and the same happens with a parameter linked to a joint rotation.
An idea... If you select "Show Hidden properties" and find the hidden duplicates of the morphs, you should be able to set them not to autofollow (In dial parameters) and set the value to zero.
Tried that too but none of the parameters of the fitted figure do anything.
In regards as to why you load another character onto another. I discovered this cool trick a while back. I load a Gen 3 Shania and then use a Gen 3 Brittney basic morph and I have created a totally different and unique character. I still have to do this with ohter Gen 3 espcially Hillary and Esme as they render all plastic and shiny looking (not very good ) so I find that when I use a Hillary or Esme (Kedra also) I have to use a Brittney skin morph to get the charactrer to look right. Just a trick I picked up as I adapt to things that just doesn't work right. Look at my attachments below. The one standing is Shania using a Brittney morph and as you see see the beautiufl result.
I realise that; I mean it's obvious, unless of course someone is forcing you to do for their own nefarious reasons.
I fit G8 to G3 to transfer morphs, before I got X Transfer.
I'm curious however, as I might find out about something that may prove helpful to me, but sarcastic answer aside, it doesn't matter any more.
I was working on something, a figure, that messed up the Pose Controls if a Gen figure was fitted to it. A workaround was two use 3 figures, 2 Gen and my custom figure all fitted to each other like so: genesis figure fitted to -> genesis figure with visibility off fitted to -> my custom figure. My figure would drive the gen figure with visibility off, and both will drive the genesis figure at the bottom of the hierarchy. The pose controls will still give messed up results for the gen figure with visibility off, however in the visible figure those changes should give normal results as I'm not modifying the fitted figure itself but its source figure.
