V6 not loading into Poser Pro 2012

When I found out today that V6 was free, I lost no time in grabbing her and downloading, then installing into Poser Pro 2012. However, I am disappointed because she is not loading at all. I made sure to install the Genesis2 Female Starter Essentials Poser companion files as well as the V6 PoserCF, etc.. What am I doing wrong? Are there any additional files that need to be installed for her to load? I sure would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!!!

P.S. Also, can V4 textures be used on V6? I've got a huge investment in V4 and would hate to not be able to use them on her successor. Thanks again!

Are you using the Poser DSON importer? http://www.daz3d.com/dson-importer-for-poser
You need the DSON Core files (with the geometries and textures) as well as the PoserCFs - the latter are just the library files so that something is there in the library panel in Poser.

Richard, what I did was download the V6 files manually and I also did a manual install of the files. I don't recall installing the geometry files, however. Could it be that I'm missing that and that's why she's not loading into Poser?
Yes, and also if you are installing manually make sure you remove the files from the folder named "content". The Runtime folder and the Data folder from the zip should be in the folder you point Poser to, with the Runtime merging with your existing Runtime if yu are placing the files in an existing Poser external library.
Richard, I'm confused about the files from the Data folder because everything is in .dsf or .duf format. I don't believe that Poser Pro would recognize these formats, correct? I'm not sure where to put the data folder. I did put the files within the Runtime folder in the appropriate folders, such as textures within the Textures folder for DAZ People and so on and so forth. If you could explain where to put the data folder, that would be a huge help! Thank you!
I looked again and did not see the V6 .obj file anywhere to put into the Poser Geometries folder.....

The \Data folder goes in the folder that holds the Runtime folder, the one that Poser has listed as a library folder. It's the job of the DSON Importer to take the .dsf and .duf files (which are the DSON files) and turn them into something Poser can use.
Richard, gotcha! Thank you very much. I'll put it into the proper place and see what happens and come back here to let you know if it worked or not......
I did as you suggested, put all the data within the folder labeled 'data' inside Poser Pro, then opened Poser and double-clicked on V6 to load her into the window. Still nothing, just "no actor". What am I doing wrong??
Step #1: Install the Free DSON plugin for poser to your Poser.
Step #2: Install all the DAZ Studio content using DIM, it places everything in the Proper DAZ Studio content folder for you. The Default is
C:Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library for DIM.
Step #3: Point the path in Poser to C:Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library... NOT to the Runtime folder in it, to the MAIN folder. DSON reads the Data folder and that converts the product to usable in Poser.
I'm not quite sure what you mean here - there should be a Data folder and a Runtime folder in the DSON core zip and those need to be merged with (or to create, if you don't already have a Data folder) the folders in the Poser library location you are using - you don't put the stuff from the zip inside the Data folder. For Poser use you don't need the files in the \People folder (or the \Props folder for props, etc.) as those are just the DAZ Studio library files.
It really is going to be simpler to use the Install Manager.

Peeps, I downloaded the latest version of the Install Manager and then had it download and install the V6 files. I then opened Poser and double-clicked on V6 to load her into the window. Still NOTHING! What's going on? I am really getting frustrated here :( By the way, I am running Poser Pro 2012 on an Intel Core 2 Duo Mac Mini running Snow Leopard Server.
What do I do now??
If you used the default settings for DIM, did you add the My DAZ 3D Library folder in your public documents as a Poser library (by clicking the folder with a + icon in the top corner of the Poser library pane)?
Richard, I found the My DAZ Library in Snow Leopard Server -->Users-->Shared-->My DAZ Library, but when I manually installed the V6 files the other day without using the DAZ Install Manager, I put them in this Data folder which is located in Snow Leopard Server-->Users-->Shared-->Poser Pro 2012 Content-->Data.
Is there something I need to undo/redo in order to get V6 to load into the Poser document window? Many thanks in advance for your help!
You need to undo everything you did manually and keep just the DIM installed stuff. DIM can also install the DSON Importer plug-in if you set the path to Poser in the Applications tab of Preferences (click the 'cog' icon to open).
Jestmart, do I remove the V6 .cr2 file and accompanying .png from the Character folder within the Runtime libraries, or leave them there?
When I double clicked on V6's thumbnail in the Character folder in Poser, I got this message: "NULL (or empty) script name passed to PEPythonEngine:: DoScript ()" What the heck does that mean?
When you double-click a PoserCF file the key thing it does is run a Python script, and that Python script just tells the DSON Importer to load the .duf file for the content. The Poser file may then apply native material settings to the imported item, but launching the importer is vital. From the error message it sounds as if in some way the readscript in the CR2 isn't getting the name of the Python file right - possibly because it's not where it should be. If you look in \Runtime\Libraries\Character\DAZ People (or whatever the folder is) in the Mac file browser you should see four files with the same base name - a CR2, a Python file, a ,duf file and a .png thumbnail.
