Today I officially abandoned the Apple world

This isn't about computers as much as it is about a new computer direction.

I was having troubles accessing my Apple email address from my PCs. I decided to make things official, and get my email via PC. I am now using a Gmail address that I've had for over a decade. It took awhile to notify most of my contacts. As of now, DAZ Studio doesn't recognize my old or new email addresses!laugh

I abandoned Apple when they abandoned me and other musicmakers earlier this century.

Mac still has plenty of apps that musicians use, which are not available anywhere else. Though, those software are mostly 3rd party, aka have nothing to do with apple itself.  Like Numerology (THE sequencer suite) etc. etc.

I still have a twenty-year-old Mac that I use for Pro Tools. It's not Apple software that I used (and ceased using) but, rather, hardware that became less flexible as Jobs implemented his philosophy.

  • Not turning platform-warry, are we?

I got my first Mac back in the mid 80's when I built my first recording studio. The software I used, I think it was Studio Vision, had a 16 track midi sequenser and could run two mono- or one stereo audiotrack alongside:)) Still working on the Mac although about to retire from the music business due to my ears finally starting to give up on me. Didn't notice they abandoned us though:)
