Changed my email address, now I can't log into Studio or DIM

Does it take awhile for the system to catch up to itself? I can't use either my old or new email address!

if you can log into DAZ you should be able to switch accounts in DIM

you may need to edit C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\UserAccounts Account.ini maybe but am not sure how

  • In the past DIM has not allowed editing of the active account, so what I did when it needed chnaging was add a dummy account (you can then choose Work Offline so it doesn't need real data) to free up the real account and then edit it in preferences. DS should not have any issue updating the email field.

  • WendyLuvsCatz & Richard Haseltine, thanks for the responses. However, neither method works. This is just wrong. This is merely a change of email address....

  • So how are you entering the new email?

  • Richard, I honestly don't understand your question. However, I discovered that I used the wrong email address when I changed it.

If you used the wrong email address when you changed it, you might need to put in a support ticket then. Customer Service should be able to help you get it straightened out. :)

  • I think everything is ok now. I wiped the entire computer, then installed DIM with the correct email address. The only problem was that I only had about 30 products to install. I got frustrated and took a nap. Now I'll go back and take another look.

This would be an excellent time to reconsider uninstalling all of the Symantec/Norton products.

Also, I tried changing email addresses and had so much trouble that I went back to my old email address. One good tip for beginners is to pick an email address you would like to use forever.

  • I don't have Norton products installed. Norton stopped me from rearranging my DAZ Studio content.... Bam, I killed Norton!
