Reconnecting saved assets in Smart Content?

I had some serious computer bugs on Thursday, and as I didn't know whether it was an infection or just system corruption, I was forced to wipe and reinstall the system. I did take a clone of the SSD onto an old hard drive for emergencies, but as I don't know whether it's corrupted or infected, I'd prefer to avoid using it.

Fortunately, I had all of my DS content and projects fully backed up, but what's now happened is that all of my own saved presets/scene subsets/etc no longer show up in Smart Content. What would be the valid way of getting these re-listed? (Ideally automatic, but if I'm forced to find and reconnect things manually whenever I need them, so be it).

If you Exported User Data (Product by product or all at once), re-importing User Data should do it.  If not, "Scan Known Directories for Files" will get them all into Default > Scan results (in subfolders mimicking the folder structure on disk).  You can then categorize them file by file, entire folders at a time, or just move the whole subtree.
