begginner help with texture

Hello, sorry for my english.
i new in DAS3D and i have a issue with diffuse texture.
I apply a image texture on diffuse color :

but the texture not keep is ratio and is deform ( the grid texture not keep the same size)

could you telle me how to prevent this.

    The textures are applied to the model by the UV mapping, which tells each polygon of the model which bit of the image to use. Mapping a flat surface (the image) to a partial sphere (the clothing over the breast) requires either cutting or stretching - in this case stretching. If you use your image editor to compress the pattern in the centre and stretch it at the edges you can reduce this, or you can remap with a modeller or UV mapping application the object to try to reduce it (at the expense of other distortions elsewhere).
