Cannot Save (Unsure what went wrong)

I should first clarify that this was in the current Public Build, but I am unsure if it is a Public Build only issue or some sort of error I have caused, and am seeking guidance along those lines.

As implied by the title, I was working on assembling a scene. All building props that were designed to go together in Poser with Python scripts. All loaded fine, I was just going about the exceedingly arduous task of manually aligning them in their proper locations. I have the initial group I was starting with saved as a scene subset, and after getting another few lined up appropriately, went to save. Lo and behold, while the menus all pop down correctly, no dialog ever opened.

For specific reference, I was originally going to attempt to save over my subset:
Clicking File, dropped the file menu.
Clicking Save As... popped out the list of file-types to save as.
Clicking Scene Subset made the Studio window flicker and return to the scene. (Instead of opening the Windows dialog to actually save anything.
Clicking Save did the same thing (instead of opening the Save as dialog for an unsaved scene).

I attempted to replicate this (approximately) in the normal release version and could not. I have never that I can recall had this issue before, and since searching yielded nothing for me, I am either asking the wrong question, or no one else has experienced this and posted about it. If the former is the case, please point me at the information. I eventually (after about an hour) got so frustrated, I just closed Studio and walked away, but if the issue happens again, I'd like to know if there's already a fix for it, that I just can not for the life of me find.

I don't know what is happening, but the last Public Beta is actually older than the current release build so you don't really want to be using it anyway.

Alrighty. I'll assume it was some random thing I did. Thanks for the info about the release build, I was going to try to figure that out next, lol.
