saving a geometry visibilty change
I have a character I use frequently that wears a hat. The hair style I use pokes through, so I just use the geometry editor and "hide selected" to give him a "haircut". If I whack off the top third. it looks fine. Is there a way to save this geometry so I don't have to go through the process each time?

Have you tried Creating a Surface from selected, copying the materials from an other surface of the hair and then using Cutout Opacity to hide the new surface?
