Ghost In Mirror?

Hello All,
Is it possible to have an object visible in a mirror when rendered but not in the scene, thus creating a 'ghost' figure/object in the mirror?
This i can see being useful in many situations, such as wanting an actual ghost in a mirror scene, or if rendering background and figure separately.
As a mirror is just a reflection setting, I assume that in order to achieve this there must be a setting on the figure/object to be a 'ghost' or in render settings?
I have not yet found how to do it though.
Many thanks
RIchard

If the item's surfaces use, or are assigned, uberSurface then setting Phantom to On will make it invisible to direct rays, while having RayTrace on (which it is by default) will make the mirror see it. You make the settings, and can check which shader is in use, in the Surfaces pane - select each surface on the item in turn and check the top-left of the pane to see the currently assigned shader, if it isn't uberSurface then in your Content Library under DAZ Studio Formats go to your isntall folder (My DAZ 3D Library by default) and then /Shader Presets/omnifreaker/UberSurface, hold down the ctrl key (cmd on a Mac) and double-click !UberSurface Base.duf, then in the dialogue box choose Ignore for maps (that will leave the existing textures alone, but will apply uberSurface with its default settings). You then need to turn Phantom on, and if you applied the shader you may well need to adjust settings to get close to the original look.
Thanks Richard,
Knew there would be a setting somewhere for it, if it was spelt 'Phantom' and not 'fantom' I might have spotted it as the one to use! Though still wouldn't have known about the ubersurface requirement. Maybe Ghost is a better name than fantom too?
It does result in a slightly different look, but for my purposes it isn't too important so a bit of fiddling should be fine.
Just a note to others, when I applied the shader as described above, it did change the 'UV set' in the surfaces tab to 'Victoria 4', so you will need to change this back to the one you want to use, if not using vic4.
Thanks
