Could someone run me though a manual install of this Rose prop2 zip file into daz so it shows up in the smart content window (if possible)?  If not can you walk me though a manual install and how to access Ithis rose (it's the second one on the right downloaded as a zip file).  https://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/FreeStuff/FreeModels/FModelPages/PoserRose.html

I tryed copying and pasting the files into the runtime / texture folders in the main "My Daz 3D Library" but I don't see the rose in the smart content folder. I tried manually importing directly from the unzipped file on my desktop but then it has no texture and I know it's not in the library. What happens when I delete the file from my desk top is the rose saved in the scene? Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I usually use the DIM (Daz Install Manager) but this is not daz content. Can anyone please take me though the steps please.

I tried following this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq_NkRRSc3E but since I think this is older poser content It doesnt apply I named my folder "Daz freebies."

Also the main path my daz directory follows is:  C:/Users/public/Public Documents/My Daz 3D Library    or   Daz Freebies   it uses the Standard Microsoft windows 10 PC organization of info if that helps.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

First you need to import the .obj file.  The usual place to put the .obj file is in Runtime/Geometries (you can make a subfolder RobinWood under Geometries to keep it organized, or you can just leave it directly under Geometries).  In Daz Studio File > Import and navigate to the Geometries folder, and select RoseBud2.obj.  In the window that pops up choose "Poser" in the From dropdown and it should come in at the right size.

With the rose selected in the scene, go to the Surfaces pane. Select the surface (or all the surfaces if there is more than one)   If you render in 3Delight, you'll want to put "RoseBud2.jpg" in Diffuse Color and RoseB2Bump.jpg in the Bump Channel.

I tend to use Iray as I  have an Nvidia card, do I still use the rosebud2.jpg in the Diffuse color section under Surfaces pane?
