G8 Starter Essentials Mimic?

"G8 Starter Essentials Mimic"
This comes up every time I run DAZ Install Manager, along with some other legacy items from products I already own, such as Classic Deco Eclectic 1 "Legacy".
Do I need to install these items?
They just randomly appeared one day in DIM, about three weeks ago.
Someone had indicated that it is a fluke and they should dissapear, but they don't seem to be going away.
So is it safe to allow DIM to install them? Or should I perhaps hide them in DIM so I don't need to get confused by a long list of legacy items.

Usually when stuff like this appears that I have not purchased recently, it appears under "Updates" section, but these are mixed in with the new items, so it's kind of aggravating.
There seem to have been a lot of items tagged as "Connect Available", most of which shouldn't be. The ones which are labeled Legacy are for older versions of DS and aren't needed. The Mimic files for G8 could be installed if you use Mimic.
Thanks. I'm not even sure what Mimic is, so I guess I'm not using it.
It's a lipsync type addon. If I remember right that is lol
Thank you. I looked it up in the DAZ Shop and it is indeed a lip sync add-on.
Your DAZ install I think comes with the Mimic Live lip sync free but the mimic configuration file for it to work with Genesis 8 is actually new as far as I can remember. They added more face bones to the rig with Genesis 8 if you remember as compared to Genesis 3.
I wondered about this. I had to uninstall and reinstall Genesis 8 Starter Essentials (again!) as it came up as missing data when I reloaded a saved scene, along with MRL Gem for G8F. I saw the 'mimic' file pop up for load then, so I added it to install also. I had no idea what it did. Saw one for G3 Starter Essentials too in DIM.
I went ahead and installed the Mimic release.
But I still have these Legacy items that appeared, and I was wondering if I will need to install them.
I'm not sure why they were released, or why only 4 of them because I own a ton of other older products.
Those lergacy products means they were designed for DAZ Studio 3.X. I always install them but it's likely you already have the Poser/DAZ Studio 4.X version of those products installed and so don't particularly need the legacy version.
