trouser problem

I'm having problems with a pair of trousers upon re-opening a saved scene. I have a character saved in my Studio library wearing a pair of trousers and if I load this character into a new scene all is fine but if I save the scene and then re-open it the trousers look all cubic in the workspace (see pic) and when rendering they do not appear in the render at all. I can delete the trousers and load a new pair and everything will be fine for that session but again if I save the scene to work on at a later time when I re-open the saved scene then again I get this cube affect.
Anyone got an idea whats going on?

Which trousers are they, which figure are they made for, and which figure did you fit them on to?
That looks like the kind of problem that crops up when you autoconvert clothes e.g. M4 clothes on to a Genesis 1 figure, then just save the scene. That doesn't save the clothes properly, you need to fit them on to the figure, then save them separately as a Figure Asset. This is the only way to save the converted clothes properly, so that D|S can load them back in again. If you don't, then they're "not really there" in the reloaded scene, which is pretty much what you've described. The "blocky look" means D|S can't find the data that makes up the shape of the clothes object; if you haven't saved it properly, then this data doesn't exist yet.
Hmm ok well they are the the Hakama trousers from the Way of the Shinobi set. This set is a Genesis 1 clothing set and I am applying them t oa Genesis 1 figure which is why I cant figure out whats going wrong.
That's odd, you definitely shouldn't be getting that particular problem.
How did you install the Shinobi set, manually or using DIM? Try reinstalling it and see if that makes any difference; if D|S has simply lost track of the data files for the trousers, or they got corrupted, that should put them back in the right place.
I install all my files manually ( I just dont like automated things I prefer to know where everything is)
The trouser load OK as a new set and the character that I have saved inot my library loads ok with uncorrupted trousers its just when I save the the project as a scene so I cant understand it. I will try re-installing tho just incase
hmmm re-installing didnt do anything
Is there anything in your log file that might point to where the glitch is coming from? Do you get an error message when you load a dud file, or does the scene just appear without a protest? You might have to put in a support ticket with Technical Support.
