Is it possible to create pose presets for select pose controls?

Let me try to explain. When I am doing lip sync on a character, I create a preset for a mouth shape and save it. But then, when I apply it back later, it applies the preset to all the pose controls on the head. This means that I get keyframes on the eye brows and eyes which I then have to delete and then re animate the eyes.
Is there a way of applying a preset to only a select number of pose controls?
Is there a better way of doing what I am trying to do than using presets? Should I use animate2?
thanks for yout time!

When you save the preset, are you making sure only the parts that you want to change are checked? For example:
Brilliant thank you.. that's just what i need!
Hope you don't mind me asking but do you think that animate2 is worth exploring for lip sync and facial expression animation? The interface seems clear and uncluttered which would be great for lip sync but it looks like it is designed to work with blocks of animation rather than individual poses.
thank again. T
I'm not the person to ask, honestly. I haven't spent very much time with Animate2, and don't own very many aniblocks. Generally, I would encourage you toward something like FaceMotion, available at Dazney or soon in the Daz store, to create your own facial mocap rather than relying on pre-built blocks. I'm just now getting into animation, and I'm doing so largely outside of DS.
