I spent a good chunk of today working on a scene saved and reopened it multiple time and now when I open it I get
"*** Scene Cleared ***
JSON interpreter error: Index out of range in float indexed array.
Json Parser (2016024,21): Interpreter Error -
Error reading file, see log for more details."
What happened and can I fix it?

I've a nasty feeling that the scene file is either truncated or corrupted, the error message sounds as if it's reading through a list of values and hitting the end before it should. We have seen issues on the forums, possibly related to certain third party plug-ins though the sample is too small to be sure, where the file stops uncompressing part way though. If you have back-ups (Windows 7 previous versions, Windows 8 File History, or Mac Time Machine - in some cases at least available though the right-click menu) you may be able to recover a previous version. In future I would urge you to periodically save to a new name, so that you have a sequence of files that you can work back through in the event of a system error or in case you want to go back to an earlier state.
I would suggest uploading the scene file to a bug report, so that DAZ can try to find the root cause if there's a fixable bug at work.
