Can't use 3080?

in Daz Studio Discussion

I rushed to buy 3080 for daz render.
However, I confirmed the story that it was impossible to use.
So... really can't use it?

    Studio needs updating

    There is a private build where there is support, from looking at the logs, but it hasn't been released as beta yet - so not ready for some reason.

    There are other threads about it.

    We don't know; when it's ready it will get released as a beta build.

    Is there any more information on this? I have plans to buy a 3090 sometime later this month. Could it be that DAZ won't work with the new Nvidia cards? Anyone know why? Is it just a driver issue?

    At the moment they are working to update DS, but nobody knows when the update will be ready.

    It's an Iray issue. They need to update Iray in Daz Studio to a version that supports Ampere (specifically CUDA compute capability 8.6).
