Bio Tank?

vonHobovonHobo Posts: 1,706

I thought I saw a more recent product similar to this product:

https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-containment-unit

But I could be mistaken.

I searched on every word I could think of and I can't seem to find it. I remember it was more realistic than this one.

Does anyone know which product it is?

It's amazing how many really great DAZ products are pretty much unsearchable in the shop. Not sure if keywords are just omitted or if the search algorithm just blows.

  • There are a LOT of these tanks.

petipet's Sci Fi Lab, for instance. https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-lab

Stonemason's Cryotube doesn't have water in it, but that's easily remedied. https://www.daz3d.com/cryotube

    Many other cryo/hibernation tanks.

Thanks! Those are all great! Now I don't know which one to get.

But it was this that I saw before after searching on "cryo": https://www.daz3d.com/igd-instasis-poses-for-genesis-8

And it turns out its just poses for the Sci Fi Lab, but I'm not sure how they got the special effects to work with the poses so well, because the Sci Fi Lab seems like it does not have much in the way of special effects like you see here.

The Sci Fi Containment unit (https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-containment-unit) is on sale right now.

I wonder if I could use that along with colored spotlight to achieve an effect similar to the one seen in the pose product above?

I suspect there's a lot more going on there than just a colored spotlight, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

This is perfect! Except for the narrow cylinder.

I really want to use this pose from the Alive Poses for Ozias and I don't think it will fit the tube. Darn it !!!

The bubbles do not seem to be a separate prop, so if I widen the tube I guess the bubbles will not be round?

If you look at the promo you posted from the pose add-on, the bubbles in both tanks follow the same pattern, so they're most likely some sort of prop. I briefly glanced at a few of SY's water props, and The Depths has one that you may find useful, as well as AM's Great White.

Thanks! I have both of those products so that's definitely an option, once I decide on which cryo tube to get. smiley

The bubbles are included as part of the SciFi lab product as part of the "liquid" prop.
