List of ALL modular enviroments/DIY packs?

I used google with no direct result. Is there a comprehensive list on the forum that contains ALL modular IRAY enviroments / construction kits for DAZ? By modular I mean that each wall, door, prop etc. is a separate object that you can use how you like. There really needs to be a tag/category on the DAZ store for that.

I'm interested in every theme... from home builders to sci-fi/fantasy, medieval... etc.

I doubt it, but I can give you a list of all my products which are modular. If people add their own choices, you could get a good list going.

    Corridors

(I'm including these two because the Corridor doors all fit with the Hotel Room, and because I've updated both packs with Iray and other new figures/props which will be finished soon)

Another vendor to look for would be Collective 3D.

I mean that each wall, door, prop etc. is a separate object that you can use how you like.

Most props in environments are usually 'modular' in the sense that they are separate.

Some environments are very modular but not described as such.

I was surprised how modular this one was: https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-reactor-room

You can kind of tell from the file list.

Attached is just some example of modular pieces used elsewhere.

I took it to mean that each piece fits with others to form new configurations - ie. a straight corridor which fits with a corridor corner or set of stairs.

Hopefully, the new store software will allow for tags, as well as extensive filtering of tags, but currently, figuring out what environments are modular would involve going through all the products and scrutinizing all descriptions, promo images and file lists.
Some sets are purposely made modular, it's their main selling point that the user can arrange all the bits and pieces as he or she wishes. Others are more "accidentally" modular, simply because the developer wanted to allow for the user to take out any wall to make long camera shots or something like that. And if you ask a hardcore kitbasher, he'll probably say that every environment is modular. :D

From your mouth to Daz's ear.  When word first came out that Daz was changing store software, one thing Rawb mentioned is that there would not be much of a change in user experience.

Stonemason and Mely3D each have a few modular sci-fi construction kits. Faveral has a couple of medieval kits (MICK and MICK2). Polish has a modular corridor kit, and the reactor corridor kit to go with the reactor room. TangoAlpha's FleetOps set each have a corridor section or two, and there's also Modular Quarterdeck. For a more contemporary look, there's Collective3d's Create-a-Room sets. For the creepy run-down look, the West Park and Parkside sets have a lot of individual walls, doors, windows, corridors, floors, ceilings. And props, lots of props.

  • Petipet has a number of sci-fi sets that are modular. Unfortunately there are several distinct styles rather than one single style shared across all the sets.
