Folders, is this right? Vintage Milk Float

I have run into a snag trying to use the Vintage Milk Float. All the files are on my system, but the textures won't load so I am guessing it is the folder structure which is wrong.

This does seem a bit eccentric, ever since I scrubbed everything from the C drive and started again, downloading everything to to D drive.

I have ended up with

D:/My Daz3D Library/... containing data, runtime, scripts, vehicles, lots of folders here

...but also...

D:/My Daz3D Library/Applications/Data/Daz3D/My Daz3D Library/data/cloud/.. and a lot of numbered folders here with content

Is this normal? Could this be why the vintage milk float textures are being looked for in the wrong place?

Everything I usually use works fine. Uninstalling and reinstalling it didn't fix it. Nor did installing it using DIM.

  • Well, that looks as if the Connect directory (for products installed through DS) is inside the actual content directory, which it shouldn't be - nested content directories can cause issues. Check yours ettings in the Content Directory Manager (launched from the Content tab of Edit>Preferences, Daz Studio>Preferences for macs).

  • Thanks fo the tip. I did reorganize the database!

However, the problem here is something else, and far simpler. The textures are just missing. Downloaded the manual zip and they are missing there too. Will Pm the creator.

  • No, open a support ticket - though I just checked my (previously downloaded) zip and it is complete - there are two versions, for DS and for Poser, both with a full set of maps in /Runtime/Textures/ForbiddenWhispers/. The zips should be about 140MB each.

  • My bad.

Still scratching my head when I realized I didn't have the pre-requisite. Doh!

I only had the Vintage Milk Float Z. Got both now.
