Anyone else having an issue of Daz to Unity not preserving morphs even if they're selected?

Yes, I know, what you mean. Easy to fix, though.

It is not enough to select morphs for the export, one need to select a checkbox "Enable Morphs" in Daz Bridge

and be sure that Daz scene was saved with some name (that name appears in Unity together with Daz3d_ prefix):

After that, blend shapes appear in Unity without a problem.

The Daz3d Shaders no longer work, Specificly Daz3d/IrayUberSkin. They give a compile error: PS_5_0 sampler register index(16) exceeded at line 5925 error.

    Please see here for a possible fix: https://forum.unity.com/threads/vertex-paint-shader-compile-error-maximum-ps_5_0-sampler-register-index-16-exceeded.821331/ ;

I don't know enough about shaders to be able to fix it myself. From reading it seems the shader is exceeding a limit on the number of texture samplers.

  • Any word/update on if animation is exporting yet?

What is included with the updated Daz to Unity bridge?

Will Daz Studio 4.15 transfer properly morphs as blendshapes to Unity with this updated bridge?

Have you tried exporting animations from Daz Studio as FBX?

It was always worked for me in Daz Studio 4.12.

You can export morphs to Unity with this bridge as blendshapes, you will just need to enable them.

Have you tried to export animations as FBX?

It is working for me in Unity, after I convert them to Humanoid rig.

Are there any plans on the official supporting the other Render Pipelines in Daz to Unity bridge?

    https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/render-pipelines.html

I would be very interested in the support for:

    Buit-in Render Pipeline

    https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/built-in-render-pipeline.html

    and Universal Render Pipeline

    https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/universal-render-pipeline.html

    All the best for you...

Has there been an update ever? Last time i got miy copy it was version 1.00.1 and  it says that now it's 1.0.1 but when you download it, it's actually 1.00.1, the same as it was always.

I've been giving feedback to Daz on FBX to Unity for 15 years. And I've been doing export from Daz for games characters for 20 years and only just getting happy with results now for number of reasons technology improvement to handle them, better workflow of my own creation. The Bridge is good but sometimes I swap the Iray shader to the stadarnd HDRP Lit for a slightly better result sometimes. The one big thing is the number of materials and maybe model size, but it's really the excessive number of materials that hurt a bit, texture atlas was meant to be the tool to fix this but it is really bad. Anything on the material reduction front?

    Thanks for the tips.

Giving feedback for the 15 years sounds impressive.

Keep such a good work and we may get even better export features in the future.

Personally I am very happy with Daz to Unity bridge.

If it is something missing, it keeps me occupied with better understanding of Unity itself

and encourage to make more experiments.

    Happy New Year!

  • very much looking forward to using the bridge to Unity.... that is once I can get past the  install error:

"Sorry, an unknown error occurred. Unable to install the Unity Plugin to:"    here-is-my-assets-folder-in-use-within-Unity.

I tried several times, using different destination folders, and choosing all 3 Unity 2019 (this is the version I need to stay on due to VRChat requirements) options to no avail.
