Strange issue using specific HDRI Dome on Skies of Sylva Forest Themed package
Hello All,
I have a bit of a problem with one of the HDRI Domes on the Skies of Sylva 20 Forest Themed 8K HDRI Domes package sku#67977:

So far I have tested most of the domes in the package and they seem fine, however the one called "DTSL - Sylva Road A - Sunny" is doing something very peculiar:
Does anyone know what could be causing that wierd shadow effect over the character? Now in comparision, there is another dome file called "DTSL - Sylva Road B - Sunny", and it doesn't do that.
Could anyone give me some insight on what is causing this and how to correct it? Or since that this is the only dome it is happening on, could it be a glitch?
Please advise,
Thank you,
Geo

Yes, I see the problem. Any surface facing the brightest light goes black, as if the light is being sucked out. The shadows are also extremely harsh and sharply defined, not like an HDRI at all. Can't seem to find any settings that make a difference one way or another. I think the exposure is not working properly (I don't know enough about the subtleties of various HDRI formats to know for sure).
Sorry for my long response on this. I don't visit the forums as much and this one didn't get a response right away. But I checked back today to find your response. So you have no idea what is causing this? It seems to be happening with only one of the HDRI's. I looked at the whole series and if you note, it is virtually the same angle too. Yet, this is the only one that it does it with. So something is off here. Given that I am having more experience with Daz Studio, it seems like those non-mainstream sellers, their products often have issues and I am surprised that this slips through Daz quality control. Granted this one is a harder find, but I am having shadowing issues with a stockings package I just bought and the problem is intermittant and if clothing touches the stockings, it causes a problem. So I might be asking for a return on that package.
I am hoping someone else could shed some light on this issue as I am hesitant to buy anything else from this seller from now on. But if it is something I can fix, then I would continue to buy from him/her.
Thanks,
Geo
The only setting that makes any difference is turning ON Spectral Rendering. I do not understand why that makes a difference, other than to say there is something peculiar about the light.
Don't worry about the PA's other products @jukingeo, they are invariably top-notch, and one error is not an indication of poor workmanship. Maybe @DimensionTheory can chime in with some insight. Don't stay away too long ...
Well, I guess it musth have been a forgotten setting or procedure. Overall it isn't as big a deal since the other HDRI's are fine. It was just that one. Still, knowing the cause and how to fix it would be nice.
