Octane Render with Carrara?

Hey all

About to upgrade to a new computer (PC Win 10)

I do mostly animations. Will I get a big boost in render speed using Octane with an Nvida 2060 GPU?

That card has 6 gig of memory when rendering sequenced PNG does it "dump" ram for each frame?

If I load models I have created with standard Carrara shaders, will then look OK if I choose octane render?

I like the look I get with stock carrara I am mainly looking for render speed. Any warnings?

I'm using for my youtube channel so computer time is a big deal. Is it only one computer?

Thanks You

Brad

procedurals won't work but simpler mix, add, multiply etc operators will, noise etc won't

I use inagoni baker to create new textures but if you don't have it, it's a bit difficult to buy it now as you need to contact Julian somehow

otherwise render out texture tiles on a plane (Carrara render) using the isometric camera and 100% ambient no lights.

Carrara trees can quickly use up all your VRAM too

You should get a big boost. Get the trial, the rental at 20$€£ should also be able to cancel after 1 month, check the TOS or ask their support.
