Large textures maps crashing comp

Recently I purchased Post Apocolyptic zone and Stones and structures, my computer kept freezing up. Long story short, I discovered the sets have 8192 x 8192 Texture maps,. My cpu/memory maxes out 100%, I load one prop, remove all texture maps, memory reduction, prop works, but completly white.
My comp has no issues with products 5000x5000 or smaller texture maps. Example Willow Creek 4096x4096, all instances on, prop uses 14.1% cpu, 23% memory. Works Iray preview and renders. I have 32GB ram. 1080FTW gpu. Don't know what I need to upgrade to make props work. I would reduce map sizes in Photoshop, but 693 maps, that's alot, Lol !!! Any ideas/suggestions, thanks.

You have to load the scene before scene optimizer can start to work though don't you?
