Finally a hair item that shows what the hair does instead of just the available colors!

I'm curious to see what actual results folks get with this hair.

  • Would some one with this hair share some renders? I find it very hard to visualize this fromt the whited out textures in the promos.

same here, but I am not hopeful since the PA is the same that did the dforce raiding cloak and that has been very problematic

I believe the demo pictures shown, meaning the poses with the extreme hair drapes, though they do demonstrate what can be done with dForce hair, are very much for advanced users. I'm curious as to how one would do multiple simulations of SBH. With the cloth system, you could export to morph and then simulate again, but I'm not sure that can be done with SBH...at least for the average end-user who does not have access to the dForce SBH tool.

I'm happy for those who buy and like it, but honestly...it just doesn't look like hair to me. I know dForce SBH is still relatively new...but I haven't seen much in the way of overall improvement across the board with it. I have a few pieces that I've gotten with bundles and I don't use them at all for just that reason. Not particular to this vendor...just in general. (This is a vastly sweeping generalized statement about dForce SBH.)

@melissastjames no need morphs or PA tools. To simulate a subset, you can simply freeze parts that you want static or use the "simulate selected" option. I am playing around with it now and will post some examples later today unless I run into problems.

Yes, but how do you simulate the same part twice? So if you have a super extreme pose, typically you would simulate say half-way...then export to morph, clear that first simulation, and then simulate again using the morph that the first simulation gave.

Ah, see what you meant. No, that approach won't work with this type of hair. Looking at how it is set up, I do not think it's needed. I'll find out as i play and report.

Yeah, it's definitely not for noobs like you who just want hair to look like, you know, hair. cheeky

  • Why did the artist not attach a interactive license to the product? I was going to buy it to use it for a game project that I am working on, but I stopped short when I realized their is no option to purchase it with an interactive license.

Has anyone had any luck with this hair? I just bought it and every time I try to run a simulation it throws an error. I have a dforce dress in the same scene which is performing like a champ.
