@ S Ray - your "Rise & Shine" looks great with wonderful lighting.

@ adbc - "Sunrise on the water" is beautiful. I like the clouds.

@ MelanieL - "Sunset Cove" is a wonderful scene.

@ drachenlords - "Days End" is - as always - an perfect render.

I have given myself a real dilema I have just rendered this one and I am a bit taken with it so the question is do I go with it  and if so which one of the other three do I replace ..I think perhaps the girl is the weakest of my original choices.. I am  just so confused at the moment

Ah, Spuddy, now that is a dilemma. Your new render is wonderful. If I had made it, I would enter it. But I do not want to give you any advice on which one to replace, because that really has to be your own choice. Of course, I only say that, because I find that choice to difficult.

I made my third entry. I also made several others, that I decided not to be entries, which I have (or may still) put in the 'show us your renders' thread. But I decided to go for something completely different, i.e. an urban render.

The city, you will recognise, is VAW city by drachenlords. I used a mirror box around the city and put the camera somewhere at the edge of Block 2, looking towards Zentralblock. I found several lowpoly (some very lowpoly) people on the web at sites, such as Free3d.com, CGtrader and Turbosquid to populate the city a bit. Also added lowpoly cat and dog as well as a car (from Archive3D, I think). Finally a 747 in the sky and a sunset/sunrise sky, of course. Some spotlights were added at the top of the streetlights (194 spotlights, to be precise) one for each streetlight. Of course, you do not see them all, but adding them needed less thought than finding out which ones would be in view. I used IBL from the sky with true ambience and some soft shadow (15% or so). Render time around 4 hours. I call it "Sunset in the city".

spuddy : thank you. Beautiful render, great atmosphere. Like Hansmar said : the choice is yours.

Hansmar : cool image, great use of drachenlord's city.

  • Spuddy and Hansmar: beautiful entries both.

spuddy - beautifully done scene. It appears to be before sunrise or after sunset. It's your choice, which one of the first 3 you replace. In fact, I like all four ...

Hansmar - you made a great render from drachenlords city.

    First my catchup:

spuddy - well I really liked your earlier (now dropped) entry, but I must agree that your latest is even nicer.

Hansmar - "Sunset in the city" is great (I don't remember that city, but wasn't is a Christmas gift a couple of years ago? I wonder if I ever downloaded it)

mermaid010 -"Serenity" has a lovely atmosphere and nice terrains.

Yellow Pen - "Sunrise at the Sea" is another lovely dreamy image, very pretty sky.

Now my second entry: "Solstice Sunrise"

The figures and clothes are bridged over from Daz Studio, the sky is based on a Horo HDRI with added clouds, etc.
