does the dynamic clothing plugin work with existing clothing for sale in the marketplace?

I am absolutely not interested in making any of my own clothing. What I am wanting to do is simply buy clothing in the daz store and use the dynamic clothing plugin to animate the clothing while I animate my characters, Does it work this way?

Thanks in advance

    Hello!

The dynamic clothes plug-in only works with dynamic clothes. These can be found here: http://www.daz3d.com/clothing-accessories/dynamic-clothing

As far as I know it only works with these and not with any other clothes.

    Hope that helps.

If you buy clothing that is for the DS version of the dynamic clothing contol, then yes!
Do a store search for optitex. Anything listed should be suitable if you are using it on the correct, or a suitable, base figure.

only works with Optitex stuff and Optitex costs over 10K
retexturing existing items your best option
can use opaciity and displacement maps too to create new looks
Queen of ages scifi dress can use Morphing fantasy dress textures and many do textures for that

So only people who have Optitex can make original dynamic clothing?
Or, you need Optitex just to be able to use any of the dynamic clothing in Daz Studio?

Dynamic clothing for use in Daz Studio is created using a product marketed by Optitex, the licence for which is very expensive. To use those products all you need is Daz Studio which has the in-built ability to do so. There is a dynamic clothing control plug-in which you can buy and that adds extra features to the basic control.
