Need help with finding good animation rendering software!

So, if you follow or view any discussions or videos concerning rendering video scenes, you will often hear that the rendering engine in DAZ Studio is really not effecient nor reliable to render scenes and videos correctly and that it often crashes or creates errors in the final render.  Being only a hobbiest, I am looking for a good solution to this issue before I have it.  I would like to avoid this issue. I also am not looking to sell my first born in order to get the software needed. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't forget that people are more likely to post problems than the reverse. One way to make rendering safer, among other benefits, is to choose the Image Sequence option - it's what DS does behind the scenes even if you go direct to .mov/.avi, you just skip the stitching together step allowing you to use another tool for that (and allowing you to recover the frames so far if there is a crash, and to save as PNG or tiff to get an alpha channel, and to re-render a few frames to deal with any issues you may have missed, and so on).
