LOL, I'm sorry but you got me tickled with his expression. What on earth was he thinking?! It's like she said, "Oh yes honey, forgot to tell you. Your ex-wife is coming for dinner..."

I have all but Tandy that you mentioned in your top-5 (though I only saw 4??)

Yes, I had a couple sharing the other spot. Adal and Rikur, the textures for the Sighni Dress in the PC. I couldn't choose between them so put them both down. :)

I got Rikur after seeing it in your renders here. Moyra outdid herself on both texture pairs.

Livia is everything you'd expect from the quality of Phoenix1966's work (I know we're all fans here). She has a very pale, porcelain complexion and a slender body morph that doesn't always play nice with auto-fitted clothing, but I've had that issue with other 3rd party body morphs too. I've paired her with Ibrahim who is also on the pale side so you can see how she compares.
Oops, my mistake - I didn't notice your Adal/Rikur selection as it had no blue link highlight. I never used to buy texture sets for PC items (thought I'd just use Fabricator) until quite recently but now I'm completely sold on Moyra's and buy nearly all ot them!
Thanks for the look at Livia - maybe I'll complete the set in the next big sale - shame there haven't been more Phoenix1966's for a while.

Belle 6 was a needed character in my opinion as she doesn't have HUGE eyes like most Daz teens. This gives her a more realistic look, to me.
The hair is a very nice hair, with a side ponytail which comes draped over the right shoulder, but has a morph to move it behind the back, as I have done here.
I found the Mall outfit a bit fiddly. Both the top and pants come at Base resolution and no Smoothing. When the figure is posed, there is some poke-through that can't be totally fixed by subdivision or adding Smoothing. Luckily, both top and pants come with "Expand All" Morphs that do the job well.

I think the hands look really good- the knuckles seem to be more realistic at the joints, don't know why. You did a very nice job with the overall feel of the render too. :) The Day At The Mall was the outfit I like the best out of all the new releases.

It occurred to me that this was the kind of outfit that most people would like their teenage daughter/granddaughter to wear. :)

Guess who I'm picking up today? 14 hours of round trip driving.
Yes, a purebred....2 and a half months old...and as always, from a dog rescue group.

Think you know the breed? I'll tell you if anyone guesses correctly. Otherwise, just watch as puppy grows up :) Signing off to get some sleep.

Well they both looked so blank so I went to my trusty 220 emotions dials by smay to give them a bit of life. I think Ibrahim got one of the 'confused' ones.... :)

Puppy looks like he's going to be a whole lot of fun, such a cutie. No idea as to the breed.

@tjohn: Lovely work with Belle, it's good to see a render of her. I agree, it's good to see a teen with normal-sized eyes and head. (Yes, I like my toons, but I don't like 'real' people to look like toons.)

I like the outfit a lot, it looks realistic and age-appropriate. I thought some of the other outfits were done beautifully, short skirts and all, but would use them on an older figure (or a stylized one) rather than a youngster like Belle.

RIGHT ON THE FIRST GUESS! But no, he is papered full blood Pekingese, both parents registered :) (And I swear folks, I did not give her a behind the scenes tip! We JUST walked in the door an hour ago (10:30p) and I left at 6:45am this morning.) Not a puppymill pup either, just one owner. But everyone had good guesses- and they made sense. The Pekes' noses and face differ greatly in squash-ness, and some have a lot more trouble breathing. We'll see how this pans out, I want the Peke look but not a lot of squish.

Had to drive across the Panhandle, then down to the middle of the peninsula Florida to get him. And OMGosh, I spent two full hours videotaping the 4 puppies playing. I got first choice (the other people are coming Monday and Tuesday, she said if I scooted I could pick one out today. HORRIBLE weather, raining white out coniditions on the interstate, pulled off into gas stations 4 times because people were going 80 mph (in a 70) anyway.

So you folks been shopping while I was away?

I love Peke's. One of my favorite dogs was a Peke with the typical flat face. I'm glad they are breeding that out now. Not good for the dog, and really hell on the teeth and jaws, but he was a sweetie, and such a good dog. I had him for years and he was such a little love bug.

I've been messing around with gen x, making a nice looking male figure using a combo of the manly men morphs and Male-M3dia gen 2 bodies. I bought Vampillia by 3d celebrity. I think she will make an interesting villainous alien

Converting Video Files For Camtasia And Other Programs
Sharing this- OT but helpful. If you want to use Camtasia or other programs that don't take AVCHD files from your videos, Handbrake converts AVCHD files and more. And it's free.

From Camtasia (if you own it. I LOVE IT. It's what I did my training videos with. You can also take stills (your renders) and slightly move the poses and do cell animation if you don't want to do animation the other way. This explains it:

Hi all. Sorry I haven't been around more, have been a kind of muddled lately.
Tjohn, I love the render of Belle 6. I just bought her today (along with Brodie, just the base figures) I like her a lot better than Josie and I am also glad to see some looser fitting clothes. LOL.
I love the 220 emotions too, Jindi. Livia is pretty unique. I haven't used her enough as I seem to have way too many characters.
Cute puppy, Novica! And, yes, your mailbox is full a lot.

I hadn't notice Gothic City- that looks like a really good one! We both chose Dine on the Orient (how could we not, right?) It makes me want to just go on a trip. I also really fell in love with Medieval Wagon, isn't it funny the things that catch our attention?

I am feeling bad that I keep buying cool stuff and haven't used a lot of it yet. I need to stop buying and start rendering more. :cheese:

The Medieval Wagon has a very cool harness and reins for the Millennium Horse 2.

Envato has been mentioned before- the section that I use is called GraphicRiver. It has the Photoshop special effects so I plopped Architekt on my puppy so you could see it. You can go to the Envato site to see all the sites and what they do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw_9yYzhGC8 is the video explaining how to do it. I did some screen shots. First is the original photo of the pekingese puppy, next is how it looks in Photoshop when the first layers are setup. You select a shape after that and the effects take their cue from it.

You can then have the special effects with or without the background, it's all in layers so all you do is turn the background color off and the original background will be there. Easy!

So far as adjusting the effects, with Architekt it depends on the shape you pick and the size you make it. I don't know what I am doing so this is right out of the box and I wanted to see what it would look like with something interfering with part of the main character (aka the toy blocking some of the view.) What you do is color the parts you want to have the effect (they radiate out from the center of where you color) so the entire dog was colored in. The video will give you a better representation of what can be done. :)

It's the one product that's irreplaceable for me, probably my all-time favourite buy. There are so many morphs that it can take some time to get the look you want, but that only shows how much work the vendor put into it.

Anyone else got an all-time star product that you couldn't be without?

Oddly, it is not 'big glamorous' sets that I tend to use the most, but things like gabage pile. I think I'm going to go with Gen x though. Gen X, has been helpful at bringing over bodyforms for gen 2 that I really enjoy for the men.

I also really like Slosh's new set Galactic Force Bundle for Genesis 2. That's sitting in my cart, with my December gift card. Just waiting to see if that is all we'll be offered today. I tend to buy early and regret it later. =-)

Hi, been literally chasing puppy around the house for the past half an hour, trying to wear him out. Went to Petsmart this morning and stocked up on puppy training pads (50% off) and toys. Will come back and post a picture of puppy with his goods. Not buying anything else Black Friday. Got there by 7:15 am and checked out at 8:30, long line but saved $200.00

I installed the new studio and not wanting to read up on how to use it, so tired of learning new stuff at the moment. So not rendering right now. Not buying either-I feel bad for the vendors coming after the PC and PA sale, it's the end of the month and there's nothing I have to have. I got the Mall outfit but that's it for almost a week. (Proud of myself. And puppy blew my December budget so not spending much then either. Puppy or DAZ, guess who lost on that one!)

So far as the product I wouldn't want to do without, first thought is Ariadne. She's my SeaNautica character and I really like the expressions I can get with her. But then I started thinking about hair, and Pyrit Hair and Hawthorn Hair come to mind. (Taylor Hair too.) But if I have to pick one thing I will stick with Ariadne. :)

LOL- good strategy. How many times have you and I gotten burnt by that?!
Also, this seems like a very "meh" sale. Not the products, but the pricing and variety. I guess since they recently had V4/M4 they arent doing anything there- but some Genesis category sales or something would have been fun.

December's almost here, guess we better get ready for more of the snowball/punch sales.

Prices are going up. I may have to rethink future purchases. Even though I like some new content the base prices of new releases seem higher to me.

I agree on both counts... the sale is underwhelming for Black Friday, but that's no criticism of the just-launched stuff; also it looks like Slosh did a great job with that outfit (thought of you right away when I saw it, Serene!) and its textures.

At least December will bring some vendor freebies, which is always nice.
