I got the purple banner ''2020 PC+ Sale Loyalty'' and I am wondering do I have to use it today or these types of banners last a couple days before it is no longer valid ?

If you use it now, it'll be good for the rest of the month.
If you wait to use it, it'll become invalid at midnight DAZ time.
...actually in all these years never purchased a gift card for my own use. So to purchase one for yourself, you need to put your email in the recipient field as well, correct (just don't want to make an error)?

Yes. I just put in my own email for my account as the recipient.
Then you enter the Code (which is emailed to you at that address) into the Gift Card area of your Account.
You can check your GC balance in the Store Credit area.

Technically there's a discount on the cart if you buy the new viking bundle, so combined with the loyalty banner you can get around 28% off a gift card if you're also interested in the bundle.

Unfortunately I have little interest in the current bundle and the cost far exceeds the the additional 8% savings.
...well it looks like it's still there, now 90 miin after 23:59.59 Daz time.
You can even buy a gift card for yourself, then, instead of using it, give the code you receive to someone else. This is very convenient if you want to give someone a giftcard, but do not know their email adress, so can only gift through a private messsage on a forum or something like that. Or write it on a nice card if you want to gift store credit in person instead of through email.
Still hoping a Daz rep will clarify the actual time limit of "limited time offer".
Tomorrow? Until the end of the PC+ sale?? Heat death of the universe??? Well, I'll use it when I choose to and if Daz tries to deny it, I'll just point out their own wording on the offer.
..hmm, never received an email with the code. Not sure what happened so 80$ is in limbo right now.

It disappeared from my messages box and the banner disappeared, so I'm guessing the "limited time" has reached its limit.

..yep surprised it lasted two days. Then again I've had banners for new character pro bundles or other offers I was not interested in hang around for weeks.
i wonder if they have a new shop system, the roll out of new products seems to take forever
Was supposed to be up, but it'll be toward the end of the year now.
I think that's something to do with Quantum Theory. You know where a particle is in super-position until it is observed (think Shrodinger's Cat), well Daz Sales like you state exist in both states until someone takes advantage of them.
