Importing Daz animation into Unity

Hi

I am a new user of Unity 4, and Daz 4.6.

I have just purchased and animated the Michael 4 character in Daz and have made a breathing animation that I am now ready to import into Unity.

When I export the animation (as .fbx) and try to bring it into Unity it crashes every time.
The only time it doesn't crash is when I export it with the morph tickbox unchecked, but of course then I have no animation, and even then the character is very buggy.

I have looked online to try and find out why this is happening but have not been able to find a solution. I did read that it could be to do with the polycount of the Daz figure being too high - could this be the case?

I have seen several tutorials online that seem to make it possible by using baking on the timeline and Animated2 but I am not familiar with this?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks
