Importing morphs via GoZ/Morph Loader doesn't work for me

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Hello guys,

I'm really new to DAZ and the last hours I was just experimenting around as I explored the fact that one can create custom morphs ahaha. So I send my figure on highest resolution to Zbrush, everything showed up in the ZTool correctly so i started sculpting around. I havent added or deleted vertices I swear. I hit GoZ to bring everything back to DAZ but the box that appeared didnt allow me to click 'update existing geometry'.... nice...

So I tried another way, I have Morph Loader Adv and Pro but both gave me errors (can be seen in the last two pictures)
Any ideas, advices? What am I doing wrong?

I'm thankful for every tip and help guys :0

AFAIK if that's one of the Genesis figures, has to morphed on the base resolution.

This is happening because you are sending it to ZBrush at a different resolution than the base, as Patience said. The option to export at current resolution is not meant for regular GoZ use, but for HD morphs, which is currently unavailable for general use. Just make sure you send your figure to ZBrush with the current resolution box unchecked, and both GoZ and MLP will work fine.

Thank y'all for the fast answer, I can make morphs now (yayy) but I still get issues :'0 (Im probably dumb...)
So I made another silly muscle morph (IMG 1) and in ZBrush it looks okay so far but when I make the morph out of the obj (default DAZ units, 1cm) I get very weird results.
The morphs shrinks the whole figure and doing weird things to the head (I did nothing to the head...). Ahhhh help. No matter which morphs I do (breast, face whatever) I shrinks the whole figure to a weird someting... see IMG2 (enlarge to see what I mean)

No problem I was too slow, thanks for answering me :) More pictures of the weirdness. So y'all get a better impression. Btw I havent changed her breasts and face at all, but the muscle morph still does weird stuff to my poor girl :0 The last Zbrush snapshot is the morph, I just added some stomach muscles... but yea obviously something weird is going on. Daz is funny.

Bejaymac is correct if you are exporting as .obj, then importing into ZBrush. You would lower the resolution to base, export at DAZ studio scale, import to,ZBrush, make your morph, then export as .obj. Use MLP to import at DAZ scale and it should work. If you are using GoZ, you don't need to worry about scale back and forth, however... If you GoZ it to ZBrush, then export from ZBrush to use MLP, you must set MLP to Modo scale. Something about GoZ seems to auto scale to Modo size, then back to DAZ scale, but if you don't use GoZ to get the morph back into DAZ Studio, you lose that automatic scaling and have to remember that it is now Modo scale. I hope that made sense, lol.

Made the morph with Modo scale. Bigfoot is reborn. Gawd have mercy with me. But the morph itself looks clear and somehow good. Gigantic good :)

Edit: I used GoZ to import to ZBrush, that worked. But reimporting not, somehow. So I exported in Zbrush to obj and used MDL to import the morph. Hope this info is useful. I made anpther mega simple 1-click-pregnant-morph and the same issue occurs (with exporting as DAZ unit and making the morph with the same scale...) See IMG 2

Sry for the double post, ahahaha I made the morphs with another figure then genesis lol. Thats why the weird morphing appeared. Now I already made a couple of morphs for genesis and everything works fine. Thanks to everyone who helped me, thank you guysss :)
