Hiding body parts
Wrestling with the dreaded poke through..
I can make body parts invisible, use mesh grabber and/or d-formers. I have the clothing helper too. These fix most things!
Is there any way to hide (maybe wrong terminology here) individual polygon faces? Small parts of the mesh.
With the mesh grabber you select individual faces of the geometry (and then pull/push them around). The option to hide those faces would be super helpful.
A characters knee is sticking through her dress when seated. Making the knee invisible doesn't work because it is part of the leg and parts of that leg are uncovered. Pulling the dress up at the knee works but makes her knee look big. If the front of the kneecap could only disappear under there, that would be mustard.
Is there a way (or product) to do this I have overlooked?

You can use the Geometry Editor to assign polygons to a new surface, and make that transparent, or you can assign them to a new group, add a new bone, and make the group the bone's selection group. Just be aware that at least one of these will affect the way some skin materials render because you've made a hole in the model.
Thank you (as always!).
I will try that.
