Some of you may remember the other day our Dungeon Bundle was on a 65% off sale for 24 hours. We did it for a specific purpose, and that was Jeff. All the money we earned from that is going to Jeff's family to also help out.

Very well done Frank, and keep it up folks. I know it can never bring Jeff / Jaderail to us or to his family but it will help his family and show them just how loved he was in this community,

This is a wonderful idea. Who exactly is in charge of this from DAZ as liaison with the family?

There are a couple of people from DAZ 3D who have been in touch with both Jeff's sister and his live in full time carer

Please forward my thanks for doing this to the folks at DAZ3D.

I had wondered if something like this would be set up, it certainly gives everyone who was touched by Jeff's willingness to help a chance to make a gesture of thanks.

While I didn't know this individual personally... I can see what he meant to a great number of people.
So in honour of that, I send my small donation and kind condolences to his family and friends. Take care to all. : )

I have been Hastefully running around catching up on basic bills and stuff today, a few more to do in the pipe. As the saying goes in ARES and SKYWARN, "take care of your family first". It is good to see others here, doing what they can (hopefully without going beyond there means).

I had no idea what was considered an appropriate donation for something like this, given I have never given it much though because of my former life in the NAVY. I made the mistake of looking up the average cost up, and now I'm wishing I could do more.
    http://nfda.org/about-funeral-service-/trends-and-statistics.html#fcosts
That is just the service, and dose not cover the costs of taking care of the residence of the beloved deceased. All of which depends on what if any policy he had.

It's bad enough that they are going threw the grief, the financial woes in addition I cant imagine.

My donation is going threw the servers now. And no, I did not check the "Make This Recurring (Monthly)" check-box, It is advised not to.

It is not much, tho, I hope it can help the family from what little I can do.

    Hi Totte,

Just did my small bit. I hang out in Carrara forum and saw a tag in Wendy's sig line so clicked around and got here. I got started just about a year ago in 3D with ideas from his prehistoric hunter renders on DeviantArt. Had pm'd him about them over there and he was very encouraging. RIP Jeff.

OK, the donations are now closed.
Today the amount of $1250 will be transfered to Frank so he can write a check and send it over.

Thanks everyone who donated, you all made a difference.

    Thanks for the update Totte!
I have no idea about those expenses in other countries, but I am glad to see such a great amount has been put together by the community.
His legacy will live on by the knowledge he always keenly shared.
