    Try this: https://www.daz3d.com/sporty-ponytail-hair-and-oot-hairblending-2-0-for-genesis-3-female-s

It's for G3F instead of G8F, but the two are very similar and it should fit just fine with the usual tricks (load unparented, change Scene ID to G8F, and then Fit To...).

EDIT: Do not simply try to autofit hair. I have had excellent results with the method outlined above and OOT's hair, along with other hair (from different PAs) that completely breaks when you autofit it. For example, the Geneva Hair does not autofit functionally, and yet I have fully functional Geneva Hair sitting on G8M right now that made it there through the Scene ID method plus Cross-Figure.

In what way is it not working well? How are you putting it on them? If you're directly autofitting it, hair doesn't really handle autofitting well and all of the shaping capacity gets nuked. At least, this has been my experience as someone who almost never uses hair on the intended character.

Like I just added to my comment (and like MimicMolly said below), G3 and G8 are really similar shape-wise so long as you stay within the same figure sex. Loading the hair unparented, changing the Scene ID from Genesis 3 Female to Genesis 8 Female, and then fitting it to G8F should result in a very nice fit and preserve all of the shaping and morphing ability. You may have to scale hair fit in this manner up a tiny bit to get rid of the "forehead squiggles" that sometimes happen if the figure and cap intersect. I usually start at 0.1% and it's plenty.

I only know of this G3F one, https://www.daz3d.com/audrey-hair-for-genesis-3-female-s

You can use the Scene Idenfication trick to get G3 stuff to G8 because they're similar.

Thank you guys. I didn't realise that I own already sporty ponytail hair. Too much items in my library. I had always problem to fit them to G8 but changing "scene id" did the trick. I had to adjust head size little

Looking good! It was the one that immediately came to mind, OOT has hair for most contemporary occasions. I think most of us probably have that overflowing library problem, lol. ;)

Autofitting can really only do so much, and hair is just one of those things that ends up a disaster more often than not. You can use the Scene ID trick in combination with the Cross-Figure Resource Kits to fit hair across the sexes as well as generations, which is super handy. I mostly use it to give G8M characters hair designed for G3F and G8F, like the (fully functional!) Geneva Hair for G3F seen here on G8M:

Of course, if you see a cool male hairstyle you want the ladies to have, you can take it the other way. :) I still find Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 are the most compatible since they're so similar in size and shape.

  • Can someone explain specifically what "chainge scene ID" means?
