My guess is this is going to be a no but everytime I underestimate Daz, it surprises me. What I'm looking for is to make sort of a cardboard cut out similar to the attached picture. Does anyone have an idea for hos this could be achieved or if it can be? It's basically like a billboard crowd character, one sided but I'd like to pick my own pictures.

Thanks for any advice.

well... as a really quick/dirty approach, i would just make a basic plane, then add an image with an opacity mask to it, where the opacity mask defines the outline of the cutout shape.

Then i guess you could duplicate the node and move the duplicate slightly behind to give an appearance of thickness.  (Alternatively, you could repurpose the opacity map as a displacement map to describe the thickness.)  Obviously this will not give you true thickness or that corrugated edge that cardboard has.

To make a true 3D shape you would have to model it & Daz isnt really a modelling program.
