Apparently the .dsf extension is used for music files on a mac....

Why are you looking at morphs in the finder?

The reason is most probably that some other application has registered itself as editor of .dsf files giving the files their icon.
If you select a file and go get info in Finder, what does the Get Info say?
And if you select DAZ Studio as owner and change all it should work. But first, post a screen shot so we can see what app has nicked them.

First is a screen-shot of the GET INFO and the actual icon next to a normal DAZ icon for the same file.

Second is a screen-shot of the drop-down menu I get for alternate software programs to open the file.  Colibri - I don't know what that is.  QuickTime Player is a media player.

Do I have to uninstall Colibrin?  Or can I just remove the music files from the computer?

You should in the get info dialog click the Chang All.. Button, when it set to DS as file owner.

I think as long as you don't double click the files in file explorer you can just ignore it. Daz Studio can still open them OK, the icon just shows what the default application would be if you try to run it from explorer. Carrara .cbr files are shown as comic archives on my PC but they still work in Carrara.

Definitely, this...  If you change all, your music application might have trouble opening the files it needs to. AS long as Daz Studio and your music application can open the respective files, there is no problem.  The one exception is if you want to double click on files which I would replace with right clicking and selecting the right application.
