Loaded Content in Daz Studio 4.6 cannot be used

I have a lot of Daz content, but despite loading a great deal of it with the Install Manager all I see is the name listed in the Content Library. If I highlight or click on the name, most of the content displays no icons in the operational area of the library, so I cannot use the content in the program. Also, almost none of it is visible in the Smart Content pane. It's as if the program recognizes that the files are loaded in their folders, but does not acknowledge them as content files to be used. I seem to remember some posting somewhere addressing an issue like this but can find nothing in searches. Need help to continue!

Can you please post an image showing the Content Library pane?

Use the 'Browse' button before you submit your post to load the image.

The DAZ Install Manager (DIM) installs by default into C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library. Do you have that library listed as both DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager?

Thanks for the reply. Here is the screenshot. As you can see, the paths you mention are active, but the highlighted content generates no operable icons. Thanks

You screenshot shows you looking under 'Products', do you still get the same outcome if you look under DAZ Studio Formats or Poser Formats? They should work OK as they don't rely on the database, Products does, so you may need to reimport your metadata.

If you use the drop-down menu in the Content Library pane (top right corner, little lines with a triangle) select Content DB Maintenance > Re-Import Metadata, it may solve your problem with Products, and Smart Content as well.

Thanks JimmyC_2009 and Richard Haseltine! Can't believe I never looked in such an obvious place! That took care of the whole problem (if it was a problem, feels more like pilot-error). Looking under the DAZ Studio Formats or Poser Formats lists is the answer. Also, re-importing the metadata seems to be fixing those other concerns as well. Thanks a lot; I'm off and going now!
