Stool search

Does anyone know what set the stool used here: comes from? Or can point me towards a similar stool?

Perhaps it could be from this set: https://www.daz3d.com/idg-portrait-studio-2-props-poses-and-shaders
Close, but not quite.
Any ideas?
I got one like that at walmart.
Z Photo Studio has a very similar one. https://www.daz3d.com/z-photo-studio-environment-with-poses-for-genesis-3-and-8
Good eye! That looks like the one, probably with a push modifier added and retextured. I'm pretty sure that's it, it even has the single bar on one side. And a push modifier added would make it thicker and blockier like that, I think.
Just take a look within one of those toilet models without a lid.
OMG I so wanted to make a stool joke too but was worried the OP would be upset at my timewasting
but now they found their stool
(resists urge to embed Bristol chart)
Yeah, but you knew we'd wanna google it, didn't you?
Yes - don't post to bump. I've left that post since someone had replied to quote it, but do bear in mind that we will remove bumps in most cases - and that we can sink threads so they don't get bumped up by replies at all.
How are posts 6 hours apart "bumping" the thread Richard? I also don't appreciate the implied threat about "sinking threads". I was just asking for a little help.
Protozoon and 3Diva: Thanks for the suggestion, the posing stool in that set does look a lot closer to the one in the Amber promo than anything I've found. I'm pretty sure at this point the promo one had to have been a custom prop by 3DUniverse.
A bump is a post that adds nothing, it's just to get the thread back to the top of the list. It doesn't look as if you make a habit of doing that, however, so I apologise for doing more than point it out.
Geez... that's 96.4% of my posts...
I don't think I've added anything of significant value to a thread since 2012... maybe longer... unless you count my occasional warnings about the Russian Feline Mafia... and possibly the whole Illuminati Ninja Hamster Peanut Butter conspiracy thing.
For those of us with nothing sane going on in our lives, this assessment comes as a harsh blow to our concept of reality.
We can't all be contributors of valuable information or coherent sentences... if variety is the spice of life then posts like mine are the filler of life... like the ground horse hooves and chicken beaks in Vienna sausage or potted meats... without those these delicacies would be reduced to a slurry of pig intestines and cow colons...
Dumb comments that add nothing to a conversation keep it fluffed up and interesting looking... they should not be cruelly discarded like recycled toilet paper... which probably isn't a thing anymore given the scarcity of toilet paper in some regions...
Anyway... I paused for too long and now I've forgotten where I was going with this, so I say... good day to you sir.
Your posts usually make me laugh (or at the very least put a smile on my face) and I'm sure I'm not the only one. In times like these, that is extremely valuable. :)
Back on topic - It definitely could be a custom prop, as you pointed out @nightwolf1982 . I suspect it wouldn't be that difficult to make one just like it with just a few cube and cylinder primitives. Then slap a wood shader on it and good to go. :)
it should be clearly stated in tne TOS then, I saw one unfortunate get chided posting a week later for bumping their thread and of course was moderated for refering to moderator actions for pointing that out.
I expect this post of course to suffer the same fate but hope you Richard at least take this criticism onboard and realise that that was a really dick move.
Someone asking for help on a product forum is not going to take kindly to such treatment when actually answering the question if you can often involves less typing.
Unfortunately the first time it happened to me I was already heavily addicted to DAZ content and it was for bumping someone else's thread an animation competition nobody else had entered, I think that poster has left long ago too.
If I can answer the question I do, as well as removing the bump. No bumping is in the ToS (hmm, more-or-less - but I didn't lock the thread so that was me being lenient).
The problem is I wasn't "bumping" the thread, I was legitamately asking for suggestions about my OP. Again, it was SIX hours between posts. I would understand if it'd only been an hour or so, but SIX? How long are we supposed to wait before posting in our own threads? A day? A week?
3Diva - I think that's what I'm going to end up doing, make my own. Thanks to everyone for their help!
Elsewhere, there was a tutorial on creating a kind of beach hut. not too difficult, and a stool should be even less of a hassle. Even I can do that, and that is a sure sign how easy that potentially is
.
As with "bumping" a tread, I agree that is not really helpful, but I would consider it as "bumping" after one or two weeks. but I am not a moderator here, so my milage may vary.
Here.
Thank you, Gordig!
I used it here - I lowered the scaling on the Y Scale and Z Scale to 70% and 85% and added a wood shader. :)
Thank you for taking the time to make it. It was nice of you! :D
Yes, thanks Gordig!
...+1
Oh Yeah, love your posts!
@Gordig, thank you and also 3Diva for the additional modification idea.
Mary
Happy to help.
