Hi,
I already looked but couldn't find a faq or similar.
What are the differences between a G8 and Victoria 8?
What are the HD Addons, what are the other "addons" to G8 or V8?
What is a HD, HY, P3D etc "addon" to G8 or V8?

Victoria 8 is just an other add on to the female version of Genesis 8 base figure.
If talking about Genesis 8 series, the only "real" figures with a complete geometry that looks like a human, are the base figures for Genesis 8 Female and Genesis 8 Male, everything else is just moving the existing vertices in some direction, this includes morphs and "characters" (like Victoria 8)
G8F is the base figure. V8 and other "Female name 8" figures are characters based on G8F, withtheir own morphs and texures. The main difference between "Name 8" characters and "regular" characters for G8F is that the "Name 8" characters are usually intended to be used as "base building blocks" to create other characters. For example if you see a character "For V8" it means it's a character for G8F which uses the V8 morph to achieve the look of the character, and you'll need to own V8 to use it.
HD add-on is a set of morphs intended to add high-resolution details to a "Name 8" character.
HD = High definition. It means the character includes high-resolution details.
Other prefixes like "P3D", "HY", "SASE", "MST"... you sometimes see in product names are usually tags corresponding to the name of the vendor(s) who created the product.
The main advantage for characters is that the character and morph dials will have an unique name: for example if 2 vendors create a character called just "Maria" and you buy both, you'd end up with two "Maria" dials for your G8F, and you may not remember which is which. However if they call it "V1 Maria" and "V2 Maria" you can identify them more easily.
What about improved bends etc? Will an "addon" for G8 also have improved bends or only the new female versions?
All characters based on G8F inherit the features of G8F.
Sometimes a character will require correction morphs for bends or expressions, for example if the character's shape is very different from the base shape. In this case they'll be provided with the character, and usually applied automatically when needed.
Thanks a lot
