I've read through several guides/discussions etc. but I'm still unsure if what I want is possible and what are the correct steps so I reckon I just ask for help.
I have an HDD with some installed products. The products are from DAZ and 3rd party stores, all of the products have enabled Smart Content, and quite a few of them have custom Smart Content categories on top of the default ones. DAZ products and some 3rd party products were installed through DIM, but I don't have original, zipped packages.
I want to move the products from that HDD to another, new HDD while preserving Smart Content data for said products. I'd also like to preserve DIM connections (so I could, for example, still uninstall product from DIM), but that's lower on the priority list.
Is what I want possible and if so, how would I go about it?

The Content Management System doesn't care where the content directories are, or what they are called even, as long as the files are in the correct place within the directory. DIM does record the absolute path, in the ,dsx files in the Manifests folder, so those need editing or the content needs reinstalling - you could always, after updating the paths, redownload the zips, bandwidth permitting, then select the items in the Installed tab, right-click, and select the option to reinstall using the current path.
