Here they are!

Both installs of REAL Hairy for Genesis (Male and Female) and
Genesis 2 Male are available to download for FREE on my DeviantArt page.

Enjoy, and thank you for all your support.

REAL Hairy is a modular hair system for Genesis and Genesis 2 Male. Unlike textures, REAL Hairy uses flat polygons to generate realistic 3D body hair that can capture light and generate shadows.

Choose only the body parts you want to add hair to with individual modules for chest, shoulders, arms, legs, stomach, back, armpits, genitals, butt and even knuckles and toes. Each module has its own morphs for length, thickness, clumping, wetness as well as color and glossiness options.

Note:
This product was not made for IRAY. You will need to create your own hair colors if you are using IRAY to render. However, there are other hair product colors that have been known to work with REAL Hairy. I will do some tests and update this post if I find any.

Have fun!

This is still some of the most realistic, if not the most realistic body hair for the boys to this day...I use it on G8 all the time! I purchased it back when it was still available, but thank you for putting it out there for folks who had no way of getting it now!

  • Thank you so, so much for making REAL Hairy available again! I absolutely would have purchased it when it was available if I'd been anywhere near as into content buying and thus aware of the options as I am these days (I took a break for a while and missed out on so much), and I'm super excited to have a chance to play with it now. And the G2M version as well! Gianni 6 is my favorite core figure and none of his transfers upward seem to look as good, so G2M has a permanent place in my library -- and now body hair! It sounds like it works well with G8M, too, which is awesome news.

If you decide to get back into making 3D content for sale, please please please let us know so that we can support you wherever you end up, especially those of us who didn't have the chance when you were here and are benefitting from your generosity now. :)

  • I already own both of these, but also just wanted to say thank you for making them available again. I wish it had worked out differently so you could still be paid for it, but hope that if you get back into selling products you are successful again!

Thank you. Sent you some Deviantart points. I know you can only spend them there but wanted to contribute something at least.

I'm just glad there's still a-lot of interest in it. I wish there was some news on M9 or G5 or G87 or God knows what they're calling it these days. It's such a pain to port these things over. Not sure I have the energy to start something new right now only to find they dropped M9 with a completely new mesh.

This one has usually given good results for me.

Not on sale at this time so it may be a bit pricey.

I bought these when they originally came out but downloaded them anyway in case they disappear from my account download.

Definately one of my favorites for body hair. Works autofitting to G3 and G8 except for the nipples

I found almost all IRAY shaders work, but you have to convert the existing shaders to IRAY first.

    Here's how:

    1. Select one of the REAL Hairy objects in the Scene
    2. Click Surface|Rendering Tab at the top.
    3. Look at your Surfaces tab. It should look like image 1 below if it's not converted.
    4. Make sure to highlight the default like in image 1. To be safe, highlight the whole list by clicking the top item, hold shift then click the bottom item.
    5. In your Content Library, select and double-click any IRAY material.
    6. Your shader should now look something like image 2 below.
    7. That's it. Now you can apply any IRAY shader you want. You can make the hair any conceivable color. Or you can make it glass, leather, silk, concrete, car paint!  GO WILD!
    8. If your Shaders don't apply, make sure you're on the Surfaceing|Rendering Tab, click the REAL Hairy object in the viewport, and try to apply it again. This method works every time.

Universal hair shaders work great. Applied them to the hair, beard, brows, and REAL Hairy.
