Why is this happening to all of my Genesis 8 male models

in Daz Studio Discussion

Can someone help me with this problem when i load a male genesis 8 model and when i rotate the arms up the chest and shoulders get messed up i have uninstall daz3d format my hard drive install it all back i get

the i get the same problem back again i have daz3d install on my old pc with all the same models no problems

    It sounds like a character morph is causing the distortion. Do you have any recent purchases that might be responsible?

    yes but the same models are on my old pc no problem with them i do have lot of models

    Load the default G8M, look in the Parameter Tab to see what parameters are being used.  If there i anything oher than minimal generic settings, you should be able to see what is interferin.

    To fix any ill-behaving morphs, do as follows;

     

    1. Load your base figure or the developer version.
    2. Select "Show Hidden" in the Parameters-Tab, drop down menu (right-click)
    3. Zero the figure (Found in Parameters-Tab, drop down menu)
    4. Memorize the figure (Found in Parameters-Tab, drop down menu)
    5. File->Save As->Support Asset->Save Modified Assets

     

    This procedure will zero the default value in the ill-behaving morph/morphs, and while saving DS also shows you a list of the morphs it is changing.

    a) Those sorts of problems are often fixed by uninstalling the defaul Genesis 8 Male & the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials and reinstalling them. Not always but often.

    b) Test, Is fixed? No? Try c)

    c) Then uninstalled both D.Master's Auto Shape Enhancer & Auto Muscle Enhancer for G8M. 

    d) Test, Is fixed? Yes. Write a support ticket for DAZ Customer Support for D.Master or ask D.Master directly in the suport thread for that product in the Commercial Products section of forum. No. Come back her and ask for more help.

    e) If fixed try reinstalling those two products and see if it breaks G8M again.

    Please put the Viewport n Smooth Sahded mode, put some trunks on the figure, or zoom in to show only the upper figure.

    I doubt this is an issue with a non-zero default, more likely it is a morph that's meant to apply a correction when a figure is posed with a specific shape dialed in that is isntead applying whenever the figure is posed. The method nemesis10 gave should reveal the culprit - it will be one of the properties that turns on when you lift the arm - but you may need to turn Preferences>Show Hidden Properties on in the Parameters pane option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the pane's tab).

See the log file for more details. i did try looing at the log but i have no idea what i'm looking for

    Search for "duplicate" - that wil show one of the parties, you then need to find the other property with the same name (assuming it isn't a single-product bug, which can happen but is much rarer).
